Yes, indeedy we did. We must serve some mighty fine bark and berries because the deer are coming day after day and enjoying a morning feast. I've seen them many times and tried using my old point 'n shoot to capture the visit. As my hip daughters would say: FAIL. I have been watching for them each day so that I could try out my new DSLR with the telescopic lens. My husband saw them while making coffee this a.m. and we enjoyed a ten minute photo shoot while they grazed and played (it takes all the strength I have not to type "frolic" here) in the wooded area behind our home.

This one pic looks foggy b/c I took it through the glass door.
Can you see all three standing exactly the same pose?
See the blue solo cup in the picture? |
What an added blessing to our morning. I almost didn't get out of bed. I would have missed out. My head cold made it very difficult to get moving. The fact that it was our first day back to work after the holiday didn't help either. I made it through the day and am glad I went.
It snowed today and was bitterly cold. I am so thankful for our fireplace and the wood to burn and a husband willing and able to chop the wood to burn. Hope you're staying warm and cozy!!!
Ok, so we are the believers now! I even looked out for them this am and did not see them. Great pictures. Did you use the telescopic? Did you put the end cap on it to help difuse the light?
ReplyDeleteEnd cap? No, that must be the hood that came with it. I'll try that next time. Haven't read alot about it yet. I know that the pictures at 3200 ISO were the best ones. When I dumped my pictures into iPhoto it tells me what all the settings were for each. It's fun to practice.
ReplyDeleteYes, try the hood. It may mask out some of the sun and get crisper. That is cool about iphoto! I also was getting shots when I went to the H2.
